Nominations for the following positions are now available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chair Elect\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>4-year term: Chair Elect 1-year, Chair 2-years, Vice Chair 1-year<\/li>\n<li><strong>Secretary <\/strong>\u2013\u00a03-year term<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both nominees and nominators (proposer &amp; seconder) must be members of the Society and the permission of the nominee must be obtained. Nominations should be made by <strong>email<\/strong> to the society chair (Dr Rebecca Walker, <a href=\"mailto:rebecca.walker@abdn.ac.uk\">rebecca.walker@abdn.ac.uk<\/a>). The Nomination form can be found on the last page of this letter which you can download from this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blcs.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/BLCS-steering-committee-advert-2025.pdf\">committee nominations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The timeline for the election process is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1<sup>st<\/sup> September &#8211; Nominations open.<\/li>\n<li>15<sup>th<\/sup> September &#8211; Nominations close.<\/li>\n<li>16<sup>th<\/sup> September &#8211; Members will be told of the nominees for each post and online voting begins.<\/li>\n<li>30<sup>th<\/sup> September &#8211; Voting ends.<\/li>\n<li>1<sup>st<\/sup> October &#8211; Announcement of successful nominees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Details of the online voting, if needed, will be released in due course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">For further details of current committee members you can view the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blcs.org.uk\/?page_id=87\">Information<\/a> Pages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The BLCS is now seeking nominations onto the steering committee.
